According to data compiled by the China Association of Automobile Industry from the general administration of Customs, 2023 from January to July, the top ten countries in our country are Russia, the United States, Mexico, Britain, Belgium, Australia, Japan, Germany, South Korea and UAE.

  Compared with the same period last year, the value of us exports fell slightly year-on-year, while the value of exports from the rest of the world was positive, with Russia, the UK and the United Arab Emirates growing even faster.

   In the 2023 from January to July, the total value of auto exports of the 10 countries was US $57.63 billion, accounting for 48.8 percent of the total value of auto exports.

  It is understood that India will significantly cut import tariffs on electric vehicles, some models from 100% to 15% tax rate. Meanwhile, the company, which has pledged to invest more than $800 million, will import a total of 40,000 electric cars, or 8,000 a year.

  India has long imposed high tariffs on overseas vehicles, which have become a key barrier to entry of overseas electric vehicles into the Indian market. India previously imposed a 100 per cent import tax on electric vehicles costing more than $40,000.

  India's electric car market is small but growing as Tata Motors, a local carmaker, develops electric vehicles. Electric 2023 account for about 2 per cent of sales and the government wants to increase that to 30 per cent by 2030.

Since the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Public Security and the General Administration of Customs issued the Notice on Supporting the Export of Second-hand Cars in Mature Areas (Shang Mao Han [2019] No. 165), the export of second-hand cars has made remarkable progress, forming a number of experiences that can be replicated and promoted, which has played a role in promoting the stable scale and optimal structure of foreign trade and the upgrading of domestic automobile consumption. In order to further promote the development of second-hand car exports, after research, the Ministry of Commerce and other five departments decided to carry out second-hand car export business nationwide, and issued Announcement No. 6 of 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the announcement). Notice is hereby given on doing a good job of the relevant work as follows:

March 26, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, at the proposal of the member states, changed the date of entry into force of a number of decisions of the Board from April 1, 2024 to April 1, 2025, regulating customs legal relations relating to the completion of a transit declaration, a declaration for goods, as well as the application of structures and formats of individual customs documents. The postponement is due to the need to refine information systems and eliminate possible negative consequences for business, including delays in customs operations.
